Prayers to be Recited on Various Occasions

From the section 'Prayers to be Recited on Various Occasions' in the book 'Prayers and Dhikr' by Mahmud Sami Ramazanoğlu - 'Prayers to be Recited When Setting Out on a Journey' part

When setting out on a journey, the following five surahs should be recited, beginning and ending each with Bismillah: Al-Kafirun, An-Nasr, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas.

The Prophet (pbuh) said: “When you go on a journey, would you like to be the one with the best condition and the most provisions among your companions, O Jubayr? If so, recite these five surahs: Al-Kafirun, An-Nasr, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas. Begin and end each surah with Bismillah.” (Haythami, X, 134)
