Obligations (Fard)
Things strictly commanded to be done
1- Believing in the existence and oneness of Allah. 2- Believing in Allah's angels. 3- Believing in Allah's books. 4- Believing in Allah's prophets. 5- Believing in the Day of Judgment. 6- Believing in destiny, that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) is the creator of good and evil.
1- Reciting the Shahada (declaration of faith). 2- Performing prayer (Salat). 3- Fasting (Sawm). 4- Giving Zakat (charity). 5- Performing Hajj (pilgrimage).
1- Washing the face. 2- Washing the arms (including the elbows). 3- Wiping a quarter of the head. 4- Washing the feet (including the heels).
1- Rinsing the mouth. 2- Rinsing the nose. 3- Washing the entire body.
1- Intention. 2- Two strokes and wiping.
External acts (Conditions): 1- Purification from ritual impurity (Hadath) 2- Purification from physical impurity (Najasa) 3- Covering the private parts (Setr-i Avret) 4- Facing the Qibla (Istikbal-i Qibla) 5- Time (Vakit) 6- Intention (Niyet) Internal acts (Pillars): 1- Opening Takbir (Iftitah Takbir) 2- Standing (Qiyam) 3- Recitation (Qira'at) 4- Bowing (Ruku) 5- Prostration (Sajda) 6- Final sitting (Qa'ida-i Akhira)
1- Believing in the Oneness of Allah. 2- Eating and drinking halal (lawful) food. 3- Performing ablution (wudu). 4- Performing the five daily prayers. 5- Performing ritual bathing (ghusl) after sexual intercourse (janabah). 6- Believing that sustenance comes from Allah. 7- Wearing lawful, clean clothing. 8- Trusting in God. 9- Being content. 10- Giving thanks to Allah for His blessings. 11- Being content with divine decree (qada). 12- Being patient in the face of calamities. 13- Repenting from sins. 14- Worshipping for the sake of Allah. 15- Recognizing Satan as an enemy. 16- Being content with the rulings of the Holy Quran. 17- Accepting death as inevitable. 18- To befriend the friends of Allah and to be an enemy to His enemies. 19- To be kind to one's father and mother. 20- To enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. 21- To visit relatives. 22- Not to betray trust. 23- To always fear Allah and abandon arrogance (boasting and recklessness). 24- To obey Allah and His Messenger. 25- To avoid sin and to be occupied with acts of worship. 26- To obey Muslim rulers. 27- To look at the world with a discerning eye. 28- To contemplate the existence of Allah. 29- Protecting one's tongue from words related to obscenity. 30- Keeping one's heart pure. 31- Not making a mockery of anyone. 32- Avoiding looking at forbidden things. 33- A believer being truthful in all circumstances. 34- Protecting one's ears from listening to evil things. 35- Acquiring knowledge. 36- Using weighing and measuring instruments fairly. 37- Always fearing God's punishment and never feeling secure. 38- Giving zakat (charity) and helping poor Muslims. 39- Not losing hope in God's mercy. 40- Not being subject to one's own desires. 41- Feeding the hungry for the sake of God. 42- Working to earn sufficient sustenance. 43- Paying the zakat (obligatory charity) on one's wealth and the tithe on one's produce. 44- Not having intimate relations with one's wife while she is menstruating or in postpartum bleeding. 45- Purifying one's heart from sins. 46- Avoiding arrogance. 47- Safeguarding the property of an underage orphan. 48- Not having intimate relations with young boys. 49- Performing the five daily prayers on time and not delaying them. 50- Not unjustly consuming anyone's property. 51- Not associating partners with Allah. 52- Avoiding adultery. 53- Not drinking wine or alcoholic beverages. 54- Not swearing falsely.
