Tafsir al-Qur'an al-Azim (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)

Written by Ibn Kathir, one of the representatives of the Salafi school in the history of tafsir, this work is considered the most famous narration-based (rivayah) exegesis after al-Tabari's Jamiʿ al-bayan. Verses are divided into sections and explained concisely, then connected with verses from other surahs to establish their meaning within the whole of the Qur'an. Numerous narrations regarding the causes of revelation and explanation are included for nearly every verse, each subjected to rigorous evaluation. Its reliability regarding narrations and its distance from fabricated reports give it an exceptional place among classical exegeses.
