Fajr Prayer

The morning prayer consists of a total of four rak’ahs: two rak’ahs of sunnah and two rak’ahs of fard. You can find detailed instructions on how to perform the morning prayer on our website. The Morning Prayer is performed first with 2 rak’ahs of Sunnah, followed by 2 rak’ahs of Fard.

How to Perform

3 Steps

First, the intention is made (I intend to perform the Sunnah of today’s morning prayer for the sake of Allah)
The opening takbir is recited by saying "Allahu Akbar"
The hands are placed together and the prayer begins (Men: place the right hand over the left below the navel. Women: place the right hand over the left on the chest).

Subhanake is recited
Euzü-Besmele is recited
Surah Fatiha is recited
A prayer surah is recited
Bow down into Ruku' saying "Allahu Akbar" and say "Subhane Rabbiyel-Azim" three times. While rising from the bowing position, "Semi Allahü Limen Hamideh" is said, and when standing fully upright, "Rabbena Lekel Hamd" is said.
Saying "Allahü Ekber," one goes into prostration twice and says "Sübhane Rabbiyel-a'lâ" three times.
Saying "Allahü Ekber," one goes to the standing position (Qiyam) and begins the second rak'ah.

Say Bismillah
Recite Surah Fatiha
Recite a prayer surah
Saying "Allahü Ekber," one bows into the bowing position
Saying "Allahü Ekber," one goes into prostration twice
Go to the final sitting position (Qa'da-i ahîre)
While sitting, one recites Attahiyyat
Recite Allahumma Salli
Recite Allahumma Barik
Recite Rabbena Atina
Recite Rabbena Firli
Say "Esselamü Aleyküm Ve Rahmetullah" (May God have mercy on you). The prayer is concluded.
