Al-Khabir

The One who is aware of all things. Allah Almighty says: "Allah is Knowing and Wise." (Al-Anfal, 71) "And He is the Subjugator over His servants, and He is the Wise, the Acquainted [with all]." (Al-An'am, 18) "Does He who created not know, while He is the Subtle, the Acquainted?" (Al-Mulk, 14) "Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do." (Al-Hashr, 18) Allah is aware of every movement of every being that exists in the earth, in the heavens and in the many worlds we do not yet know. There is nothing of which He is unaware. He created all things — and would the Creator not know what He has created? When a person feels an emotion, thinks a thought, forms an intention, speaks a word or deliberately performs an act, however much he wishes to conceal it while doing so, he cannot conceal it from himself; at that very moment he perceives it in his conscience. That being so, the Creator who created him, the reality of every breast and all creation, knows it beforehand and more perfectly still. Those breasts, those souls, those thoughts, those faculties, those acts and those feelings all exist, along with knowledge, only through Allah's creating. Unless He creates, no one's hand moves and no one's tongue speaks; neither sense nor thought functions; neither conscience remains nor the self. In a single instant you may find the hand withered and the tongue struck dumb; thought halted and reason stifled; the heart beside itself, and the ego that said "I shall do such and such" laid level with the ground. If the Creator's help does not arrive with a new act of creation, no creature can restore him or set that creating in motion — for no atom, no consciousness, no thing can know the particulars upon which creating rests. It is the work of a complete knowledge and power that encompasses the entire chain of causes. It is impossible for creatures to hide anything from the Creator. A creature owes the knowledge that later arises within it, and the meaning of that knowledge, to the knowledge of the Creator who created it and created that knowledge within it in all its reality before it was. Could some event occur in a creature without Allah, who created it, knowing of it? He is the Subtle and the Acquainted. This name of Allah keeps His believing servants from lying, deception and unseemly conduct. It reminds them that concealment from Him is impossible. It also prevents them from inclining to such ignorant behaviour as resorting to intermediaries and mediators to present their requests, supposing that He is not directly aware of their needs, instead of supplicating and worshipping Him themselves. He is undoubtedly fully aware of all the needs and states of His servants, at every moment and without any intermediary. A reminder: The servant should not be deceived by what he knows or grow arrogant, nor fall into Satan's game. He should always be adorned with beautiful character, should inquire, and should strive to increase his knowledge. In all his deeds, words and hidden states he should feel shame before his Lord and avoid disobeying Him. He should learn Allah's attributes, His rulings, and what He has made lawful and unlawful, and should occupy himself with what draws him nearer to Him and raises his rank.

The noble name Al-Khabir is recited 810 times as "Ya Khabir, jalla jalaluhu" for the opening of the mind, to see what one desires in dreams, and to be informed of what one does not know. Whoever makes remembrance with the noble name Al-Khabir for seven days, spiritual tidings appear to him from Allah's presence. Whoever suffers harm at the hand of an evil person, let him persist in reciting the noble name Al-Khabir; God willing, Allah Most High will set his state right.
