Al-Hakim

"The All-Wise, whose commands, words and deeds are full of wisdom."

Meaning

The Possessor of wisdom and judgement, who puts everything in its proper place. Allah Almighty says: "And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise." (Al-Hashr, 24) "Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth exalts Allah, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise." (As-Saff, 1) Allah Most High is the sole Possessor of judgement and wisdom. He holds sway and disposes over His servants according to wisdom; He is the sole possessor of judgement and wisdom in His governance; and He is aware of the hidden states of His servants. Allah's commands and prohibitions rest upon wisdom. Through His knowledge, which knows no bound or limit, Allah knows what is beneficial and what is harmful for the human being. Therefore whatever He commands the believers is for their benefit, and whatever He forbids them is to their harm. In everything He has created, in placing His creatures in their proper places and preparing those places for them, He is abundant in goodness, exceedingly generous, the Ruler and the Possessor of justice. It occurs in 97 places in the Noble Qur'an.
