Al-Warith

The Inheritor, the true owner of all wealth. Allah Almighty says: "And indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and We are the Inheritor." (Al-Hijr, 23) "Indeed, it is We who will inherit the earth and whoever is on it, and to Us they will be returned." (Maryam, 40) "And how many a city have We destroyed that was insolent in its [way of] living, and those are their dwellings which have not been inhabited after them except briefly. And it is We who were the inheritors." (Al-Qasas, 58) Al-Warith means the One who remains after another has departed and passed away. The only being possessing this quality is Allah, our Exalted Lord — for He is the only being who will remain after all the beings that pass away when the term He granted them in this world expires. The existence of all beings is in His hand and depends on Him alone. His existence, however, depends on no being. Know that Allah is the Owner and Master of all beings whose existence is possible. But because Allah is the Possessor of generosity and beneficence, He has given certain things temporarily into the ownership of His servants. People are mortal while Allah is Everlasting. For this reason, when people die, the things they owned remain with Allah, their first Owner. This is what is meant by Allah's being Al-Warith.

It is recited 707 times as "Ya Warith, jalla jalaluhu" in order to possess property, wealth, gravity and esteem. If one in distress recites this noble name 1,000 times between the sunset and night prayers, his distress departs. If it is recited a hundred times before sunrise, nothing harms him in life, nor his body after death.
