Malik al-Mulk

Owner of All Sovereignty, the eternal Master of the dominion — the true Owner of the universe, of dominion and of wealth, in whose command all existence lies and in whose wisdom none may interfere. Allah Almighty says: "Say: 'O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will.'" (Al 'Imran, 26) "So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne." (Al-Mu'minun, 116) "In a seat of honour near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability." (Al-Qamar, 55) Allah is the true and eternal Owner of the dominion. Everything is His dominion. "To Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise." Since Allah is the eternal Owner of the dominion, we have no recourse but to take refuge in Him. One should supplicate Him alone, fear Him alone, place hope in Him alone and submit to Him alone. When you look around from where you are sitting now, everything you see has an Owner. The armchair you sit in is made of atoms He brought into being. The flower in its pot grows through the means its Owner has provided (sun, water and so on). The sea visible from the window and all the creatures within it are there because their Owner willed it. And even your own body: it too is under the control of the One who created you, entirely independent of you. All your limbs, your veins, your nervous system and every one of your cells are the work of your Owner's knowledge and supreme wisdom. None of these are things you conceived of possessing and then brought into being. When you opened your eyes to the world you encountered both the flawless system in your own body and the world you find yourself in — indeed the whole universe. But before this you possessed none of them, and after this it is not possible for you to come to possess them by your own will. This truth of course holds for all people. Therefore the dominion of everything belongs to the One who created them: to Allah, the Creator and Owner of all things. Despite this plain truth, the human being becomes blind and, disregarding His existence, falls into the delusion that everything in his hand belongs to him. In the error of seeing himself as superior despite all his weakness, he grows arrogant and turns to denial. But this denial harms only himself.

The noble name Malik al-Mulk is recited 212 times as "Ya Malika'l-Mulk, jalla jalaluhu" for one's possessions to be increased. Allah grants wealth to whoever persists in the remembrance "Ya Malika'l-Mulk, jalla jalaluhu".
