Al-Mubdi

The Originator who creates without matter and without precedent, bringing into being from nothing. Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats." (Al-Buruj, 13) "And it is He who begins creation; then He repeats it, and that is [even] easier for Him. To Him belongs the highest attribute in the heavens and earth. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise." (Ar-Rum, 27) He alone is the One who creates for the first time and who will create again. He performs both the first creation and the giving of life anew. Allah creates from the very beginning. He creates everything first created and re-creates everything created anew. No other can have any influence or intervention. Al-Mubdi is the One who first brought the human being into existence — that is, who created him from nothing. It is Allah who brought all beings into existence from nothing, constructing them and bringing them forth. Beings did not exist and were created by Allah and brought into the realm of existence. He created all beings without precedent and in a perfect manner. Know that your soul and all the organs of your body were created and formed by Allah, and that no other person exactly like you has been created in this existence. This is truly a great creation. When the universe did not exist, Allah existed. He created everything in the universe without material and without model. He brings the tree out of the seed; the seed falls to the earth again and comes back to life in spring, turning into an enormous tree. Our Lord, who created the human being without a model, also bound him to a law — a law that will continue until the Day of Resurrection. To the extent that we conform to our Lord's laws of nature, we live at ease; no one doubts or objects to this. Our Lord, who laid down the laws of nature, has also laid down His laws in the Qur'an; if we conform to both, both our worlds will be good.

If someone whose wife is pregnant faces fears and dangers such as premature birth, miscarriage or delayed delivery, and he passes his finger over his pregnant wife's belly and recites the noble name Al-Mubdi 99 times, saying "Ya Mubdi, jalla jalaluhu", Allah, glorified and exalted, preserves that pregnant woman from these dangers. The noble name Al-Mubdi is recited 56 times as "Ya Mubdi, jalla jalaluhu" for beauty in one's writings, success in works of art, arriving at the truth in one's research, and success in all good undertakings. Whoever recites the noble name Al-Mubdi 1,000 times, saying "Ya Mubdi, jalla jalaluhu", his bewilderment departs, he finds guidance and his character becomes beautiful.
