Al-Mutakabbir

The Greatest and Most Exalted, who displays His greatness and majesty at every moment and in every place. Allah Almighty says: "He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Perfection, the Bestower of Faith, the Overseer, the Exalted in Might, the Compeller, the Superior. Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him." (Al-Hashr, 23) In a sacred hadith Allah says: "Greatness is My cloak and majesty is My garment. Whoever contends with Me over either of them, I shall cast into the Fire." This shows that greatness and majesty are among Allah's attributes of perfection. For any other being to claim these attributes is contrary to reality; such a claim only reveals its deficiency and its overstepping of bounds. The Muslim should worship the Truth for the sake of the Truth alone — not to earn reward or to escape punishment. Otherwise he has made a created thing his goal and used the Truth as a means of reaching it, whereas this is not what is right and true. To worship the Truth for the sake of the Truth alone, expecting no return, requires exalting Allah in every state, holding His greatness in sincere reverence, and keeping far from all that is base and lowly.

"Ya Mutakabbir": if someone recites this name ten times before being with his wife and then is with her, the Truth Most High grants him righteous offspring. For the humbling of oppressors, and for one's words to be accepted and esteemed by all people, it is recited 662 times as "Ya Mutakabbir, jalla jalaluhu". Whoever persists in the remembrance of Al-Mutakabbir sees himself as lowly, while in the eyes of people he appears great; no one can stand against him.
